Appointment of new Board Member

Saphire is pleased to announce it has appointed a new non-executive Board Member, Dr. András Lendvai. He brings to Saphire his wisdom and knowledge in a wide range of issues, including the legal aspects of corporate finance and energy transactions.

Dr. Lendvai is the founding partner of Lendvai Partners, a Hungarian boutique law firm specializing in M&A, TMT, IP and energy matters. He is a well-known specialist in his areas of expertise. Before establishing Lendvai Partners, dr. Lendvai worked as the Head of the top-tier ranked IP/TMT group of Linklaters Budapest (2000/2004-2008) and the Regional Counsel of Bird & Bird (2009-2011). He has been ranked several times as a notable practitioner by Chambers Europe (2013, 2014) and European Legal 500. He graduated from ELTE Faculty of Law in 1999 and was admitted to the Budapest Bar in 2003. He is member of the Expert Body of Industrial Property Law attached to the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office and arbitrator at the Standing Arbitration Court of the Money and Capital Markets. In addition to his native Hungarian, dr. Lendvai speaks English and German.
